NYFA Master Class in Punta Cana: “Environmental Documentaries: How to harness the power of the image.”
September 18, 2016Punta Cana – The DREFF, with support from the Fundación Grupo Puntacana, Fundación Ecológica PuntaCana, and the Puntacana Environmental Film Academy, organized a Master Class on September 17th in Punta Cana. “Environmental Documentaries: How to harness the power of the image.” The class was given by the director of the prestigious New York Film Academy’s School of Film, Claude Kerven, as part of the 6th edition of the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF).
Film students of all levels, experts and representatives of various media outlets participated in the event, which began with welcoming remarks given by DREFF representative, Artemis Diaz, who thanked the collaborators for their support in organizing this event. She then turned the floor over to Gil Matos, director of NYFA’s Registration for Latin America and the Caribbean, who gave an introduction, which was followed by Mr. Kerven’s 90-minute Master Class.
