The DREFF, Along with Ministries of the Environment and Tourism, Celebrate World Ocean Day
June 11, 2018To commemorate World Ocean Day, held on June 8th of each year, the Dominican Environment Film Festival (DREFF), along with the Ministries of the Environment and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, featured a special presentation of the short documentaries El mar y yo (non-official translation: The Sea and I) and Un viaje a través de los ojos del arrecife (non-official translation: A Journey Through the Eyes of the Coral Reef). The activity was organized by personnel from both Ministries, who also enjoyed and learned important information provided by the documentaries.
The event, held on Friday, June 8, brought together dozens of employees from both Ministries who were accompanied by senior authorities, including Ms. Ydalia Acevedo Monegro, Vice Minister of Coastal and Marine Resources, among others.
