DREFF and Cinemateca Screened Environmental Short Films to Participants of BIJRD’s Summer Camp Participants
July 12, 2018As part of a special visit to the Cinemateca Dominicana and thanks to the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), dozens of children and adults, participants of the summer camp at the Biblioteca Infantil y Juvenil de la República Dominicana (BIJRD), enjoyed the short films “Peter Plástico” and “The Change”.
The event was held on Wednesday, July 11th, and complemented a presentation on the history of Dominican filmmaking and a guided tour of the exhibit on that topic displayed at the Cinemateca’s art gallery.
For many years DREFF (a GFDD initiative), the Cinemateca and the BIJRD has been partners in the promotion of sustainable development and environmental consciousness in the country, especially with activities targeted at children and young adults.
