July 6, 2018The Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF), a GFDD initiative, actively engaged in the 2018 Festival Marisco Ripiao, a popular local fair celebrated each year at the Sánchez province (Samaná) in the Dominican Republic.
A program of environmental short films including “Bienvenido a la tierra”, “Donde vive Jobito”, “PETer Plástico”, “Travesías”, and “El agua de la tierra” was screened throughout the festival for visitors to enjoy and to learn. A recycling art workshop complemented the experience for the little ones.
This Festival, a celebration of Dominican flavors, music and culture, was held June 30th and July 1st at the Plaza del Muelle. DREFF and GFDD have been partners with it for the past few years.
