GFDD’s Value of Life Preselected for Cinema Los Angeles
August 8, 2017WASHINGTON, DC, Value of Life, a production of the Global Foundation for Democracy & Development (GFDD/Funglode), has been pre-selected to compete in the 2018 Cinema Los Angeles Film Festival. Held in the home of Hollywood, the festival aims to present the most exciting and inspiring new works of film being made today.
Having been screened across the Dominican Republic and competed in six film festivals in locales ranging from New York and Turin, Italy to Ensenada, Mexico, Value of Life is an inquiry into how modern societies value the natural resources that surround them and the ways in which nature provides for modern economic development.
Through its program of Year Round Environmental Film Screenings, the Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) , an initiative of GFDD, has screened Value of Life on numerous occasions to educate people of all ages on the importance of environmental awareness. GFDD looks forward to yet another opportunity to reach new audiences through the upcoming film festival.
