Vanessa is a filmmaker, a mother, a teacher, a climate change solutions advocate, organizer, strategist, and storyteller. She is passionate about climate action at the community, regional, and international levels – and the intersection of sustainability with social and economic justice. Vanessa holds degrees from Stanford University and Bryn Mawr College, has professional experience in strategic communications for non-profits and commercial enterprise, and a background in community-based urban design and planning. Her award-winning documentary media projects have screened on television and at festivals internationally.
